Delaware Chapter 2008 Girl Scout Aviation Day
The Delaware Chapter and the Girls Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay have an Aviation Activities Day each fall. About 55 Junior Girl Scouts participate in activities that partially complete their Aerospace Badge. Over the last few years, the Delaware Air National Guard, New Castle County Airport has provided the facilities for the day and also generously support the event by providing a tour of a C-130 and demonstrating some of the equipment they use. Photographs taken by national award winning photographer Irene Baron and used with her permission.
Encompass the World Patch patch, designed by Delaware Chapter member, Ginny Batzel, is awarded to girls attending the event.
